Abstract

In this study, we examined how elderly women in Mumbai manage their finances and how it impacts their well-being. We surveyed 108 older women using a set of questions. Our findings show that when elderly women have more financial knowledge, they tend to make better financial decisions and feel happier. This suggests that teaching older women about finances and encouraging positive financial habits can improve their financial security and overall happiness. It's important for policymakers and community groups to support them in this endeavour.
